Todd Evans started The Golden Sounds in late 2004 and recruited friends to help bring his songs from the recording to live performance. Now after the release of 2 full-length albums and a 5-song EP, The Golden Sounds have developed a loyal and growing following that identifies with his somewhat surreal yet honest songwriting. Opening for The Mosquitos, Lovedrug, The Juliana Theory, and Venus Hum, Todd enjoys walking the line between the lush band feel and lo-fi raw performances. His latest offereing slated for an early 2007 release is entitled "lo-fi sounds for a hi-fi heart" and is more reminescent of the EP "A Song For Each of Us And An Extra For You." Acoustic guitars and his trademark melodica and keyboards seek to bring meaning to a tough year of questions and struggles. "This has been one of the most challenging years of my life and this album touches on that."
